Expect the Unexpected - Daybreakers

It all started on this saturday evening (i.e.,30th june) when it rained heavily in bangalore due to which we had a really long power cut from 5.30 p.m i guess. Me and my friend were waiting for the power to come and at 8 we thought that its a waste of time waiting and went for dinner. After dinner we saw that power hadn't come still and thought of just takin a walk down the street when my friend said that it would be good if we went to PVR to watch a movie instead of just wasting time.
So after going there we were checking out the films available and were disappointed that Prince Of Persia tickets weren't available. While considering other options we saw this name 'Daybreakers' which sounded kind of interested and so when we saw its poster it looked like a sci-fi movie. So we took two tickets (each costing 210/- which is considerably higher for a 2D film) and waited for the show to begin which was at 10.00 p.m.
Finally when the show started, even then there weren't many people in the theater. As it started,in the first few minutes we got to know that the film would be on vampires. The film in the initial part was good as it depicted the extinction in human race as all were turned into vampires due to an outbreak and the humans who remained were hunted down for blood by the vampires and it all starts when the hero(don't remember his name...) meets human people and tries to help them as he was deceived and turned into vampire.  From there the film was unfolding a whole new concept for every 5 odd minutes(don't ask me what they are) and not only me but all the people in the theater were like WTF is this!!!
It was like all were waiting when this damn film would end and all had a sigh of relief just the film had ended even though that was a vague one. The direction was good and as expected of a hollywood movie but the concepts that were brought up were so ridiculous that it looked like this film was made to just spend money. This was one hell of a way to spend a saturday night and you might consider better options for your own sake other than watching this movie.

My first Post : Internship at IBM

Well....to say,I have been selected for the Extreme Blue 2010 Internship at IBM. My internship started on 14th may and its been a great experience ever since. I got to know what the corporate world is all about and IBM in particular. My first day at IBM erased all my fears about this internship. Very helpful mentors and excellent team mates have made my job easier. There is a whole new world here, you have access to IBM world wide intra network which you can use to get information about anything or anyone who has been in IBM and can directly interact with them and everyone is so nice and the people at higher position also wont mind to talk with you about anything (provided they are free then...). Timings are flexible and no one even cares when you come or when you go, you just have to get the work done and then you can do anything (like I've been chatting with my friends and playin mafia wars all the time...:P).
I'm pretty much impressed about the way things are done here and somebody is there to help you all the time, like my friend had a doubt which he posted in the intra network site and he got a solution within few minutes from a person not even from the same location!!!.The kind of work and research that goes in IBM, i bet it doesn't happen in any of the other software giants(friends in other software companies...don't take this too seriously dudes).
Well...the post is gettin really long and there are still lots of things i wanna say,but to end this i just wanna say that with what i've known from the time my intern started,i would say that people who are looking for a software job must definitely consider gettin into IBM and experience the difference...:)
